腰パン禁止条例へ 

In Atlanta, Georgia,
Crackdown to ban saggy pants are starting.
Saggy pants is one of the fashion that started in prison
and began from black Hip-Hop people.

This regulation means six months in jail and a $500 fine.

A lot of grown-ups despise this fashion.
I guess the fashion is indecent,too.

One of the human rights group,ACLU criticize the law
for segregation.
ACLU insists
"It's going to target African-American male youths.
There's a fear with people associating the way
you dress with crimes being committed."

I don't like this fashion...
But I agree to this opinion of ACLU.

台湾で思ったこと 

というわけで、
台湾から帰国したわけでありますが、
日本語も話せる人が多いし、
旅費も比較的安いすむので、
気軽に行ける海外のひとつだと思った。
お勧めです。

僕も、はじめ台湾には興味などなかっただが、
行く前にいろいろ歴史などを調べ、
日本とのつながりを知ると、旅行も楽しくなる。

ヨーロッパ好きの日本人はたくさんいるけど、
アジアもなかなか面白いと思う。

みなさんはどこの国に行きたいですか？
現実性とかは無視していいので、
コメントください〜。
僕は一度はイスラエルを回りたいと思っていますｗ

さて、変わってシリアスな話・・・
台湾におけるフィリピン人の雇用に関する問題だが、
現地の人から深刻な話を聞いた。
台湾で働くフィリピン人の家政婦さんの多くは
台湾人のアルバイトよりも安い平均月収で
週に６日以上、
ほとんどの場合週に一日も休みなしで働かされているという。
法律はどうなっているのか。

法律的には当然違法なのだが、
きちんと守る人も少なく、
フィリピン人労働者も借金を作って台湾に来ているため、
文句の言えない状態にあるらしい。
奴隷のようだ、ともいえる。

自分が香港にいたときも、
家族はフィリピン人の家政婦を雇っていたが、
こんな労働条件ではなかった。

外国人労働者に対する保障は
台湾の今後の課題となるべきだと感じた。



台湾旅行記その４ 

Next
I went to Chiufen(九份).
It is located within the hills in northeast of Taiwan.
It is said that this town is one of the model of the villege
in Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi).

I was able to see some old row of houses and streets.
Chiufen used to the center of gold mining.
In 1890s,
The village once was gold city of Asia
And flourished as gold city.

This town is valuable for eveyone.
I recommend you visit there if you travel in Taiwan.


台湾旅行記その３　-台北１０１- 

The third day〜♪
I went up Taipei 101.
This building is the tallest building in the wrold
It is 508 meters high.
I took a picture on the top of building.

I continue a talk about the second day.

we left for my father's friend in Danshui.

台湾旅行記その１ 

台湾に行ってきました〜！！！
I enjoyed it!!! I got a good time!!!

まぁ、家族で旅行するなんて４年ぶりだったりするｗ
一人旅はさびしいからねｗ

というわけで、
旅行記をつけたいと思う。
一日目：
到着が夜だったのでたいしたことはせず、
ホテル付近の繁華街ををふらふらと歩き回る。

このWonstar Hotelに泊まりました。
大きいホテルではないけど、清潔ないいホテルでしたよ。

二日目：
故宮博物館へ
ここは世界４大美術館の一つとされ、
かなり大きな博物館。
主に中国の文化を扱っている。

後ろにはためいているのが中華民国(台湾)の国旗です。

とりあえずびっくりしたのが、
かなり広範囲の人々に日本語が通じる！
６０年前まで日本の領土だったので、
お年寄りは話せる方が多いのだろうとは思っていたが、
日本語の観光客が多いせいか、やけにみんな日本語を喋ってくれる。

むしろ、英語をしゃべれる人のほうが少ないみたいｗ
Can you speak English or Japanese???って
聞いてみると、
たいがい「日本語ハナセマース。」って返ってきたよ。

History of Taiwan 

I'm going to go to Taiwan tomorrow.
So I'd like to talk about history of Taiwan.

Until 18th century,
Taiwan was ruled by some country
such as Netherlands, Spain and China.


The Ching(清) Dynasty ruled Taiwan for two hundred years
before it ceded the island to Japan in 1895
following the First Sino-Japanese War.
But It seems that
Ching Dynasty don't rule Taiwan actively.

Japan had dominated over Taiwan for 50 years.
It seems that
Infrastructure of Taiwan was improved by Japanese government.
But... on one hand
Taiwanese be discriminated against by Japanese.
After WW��,
Japan agreed to abandon all claim to Taiwan.
After that,the Republic of China under the Kuomintang (KMT:国民党)
became the governing polity on Taiwan.
following the Chinese civil war,
KMT lose Communist Party of China (CPC: 中国共産党)
led by Mao Zedong (毛沢東) .
So KMT escape from mainland to Taiwan.

First,
KMT govern Taiwan absolutely.
But in the early 1990s
Taiwan made the transition
from an authoritarian one-party state to a democracy.
Recentry
Taiwan is considered to have achieved an economic miracle,
becoming one of the wrold's TOP producers of computer technology.

But Japan have broken off relations with Taiwan
since 1973.




ノルウェーの爽やかな刑務所 

In Norway
Bastoey Prison don't have locked gates or barbed wire.
The prison operates with solar panels,
wood-fire heating instead of oil....
Yea.
This prison is practicing environmental education for prisoner.

CNN reported that
the roughly 115 prisoners learn values
such as protecting the environment and respecting others.

It seems that
prisoners can take care of some domestic animal
and go fishing !!!
and what's more,
Inmates can study, seek counseling, play tennis,
have their own TV
and swim in the waters around the island !!!

I think environmental education is good....
But i wonder It is too free for inmate....

チェチェンを取材した、
モスクワの新聞のある特派員はこう尋ねられたそうです。

このブログも、暗い話が多くなりがちだ。
だから、このブログを見た人も前述の台詞と
同じ気持ちになるかもしれない。
別に、好きで暗い記事を書いているわけではないんだよ。
でも、新聞を眺めたり、ＢＢＳを見たりすると
衝撃をうけた記事を書きたくなる。
そうすると戦争とか飢餓の記事が多くなる。
でも、残念ながら僕が書いているのは
同じ地球の上で実際に起こっていること、起きたこと。
だから、これらの問題は地球の上にいる限り、
私たちに無関係とはいえないし、
私たちそれぞれに責任があるのだと信じる。

台湾国連加盟への険しい道のり 

BBC news reported
tens of thousands of Taiwanese marched
to join UN in the name of Taiwan.

Mainland China considers Taiwan a part of its territory
and opposes a separate UN seat
or any other symbol of independence for the island.

Now UN don't admit Taiwan is one free nation,too.

China insist Tiwan has been always one of China.
But many former inhabitants live in Taiwan.
They have a diffrent language and colture.
And Taiwan is ruled by Japan for long time in histry.

Next week I'm going to travel in Taiwan.
So I worry about a demonstration.
I wish This trouble between China and Taiwan
is settled early.

横浜国際フォトジャーナリズムフェスティバル 

Today,I went to
YOKOHAMA Internatinal Photojournalism Festival
with my friends.

This festival is opened at Yokohama,red brick warehouse.
And a lot of photos taken aroud the world are exhibited.
So I was touched by these photos.
I'd like to introduce to some photos moved my heart.

This picture's title is "On the night in Iraq".

It seems that
American soldier shot citizen's car by mistake
and child is crying with grief of parent's death.

for feature photography Monday for her work.

I feel there're a lot of porblem in the world.

The Russian military has successfully tested what it described as the world’s most powerful non-nuclear air-delivered bomb.

It seems that russia developped a bomb
which equals nuclear bombs.

I feel world run in clear contradiction
to their word ,peace.

welcome Ban Ki-Moon! 

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon is visitting
Darfur at Sudan.

he was cheered by refugees at the camp.
And he was said "Don't come here." at the same time.
We can understand there are complicated relation
between government and rebel funstion.

Ban Ki-Moon said
"I was so shocked and humbled when I visited camps.
I was shocked at the poverty and hardship
all these tens of thousands of people were undergoing."


英雄か日本の恥か 

極めて腹立たしい事を知ってしまい、
記事を書かずにはいられなくなった。

三年くらい前におきた
イラクでの日本人人質事件についてである。
皆さんは覚えていますか？

3人の日本人がイラクで人質とされ、
政治家たちは
「再三の避難勧告にも関わらず危険地帯に赴いた。
　自己責任だ！国家に多大な迷惑をかけた。」
というようなことを発言。
当時私も、イラクに行くなんて兵士じゃあるまいし、
無謀なことするもんだって思いました。

しかし、
彼ら三人が日本に帰国後の国民からのバッシングが酷い！
人質の一人の自宅にはメールも合わせると、
一万をゆうに超えるの手紙が届き、
そのすべてではないものの
数多くの罵声、中傷が含まれていた。
「日本の恥」「非国民」

新聞も次のように報道。
読売「３人は事件に巻き込まれたのではなく、
自ら危険な地域に飛び込み、今回の事件を招いた」
毎日「３人は情勢への認識が甘かった」

確かに彼らに認識不足はあったかもしれない。
しかし、日本国民のこの対応は一体なんだ？
被災地に自ら赴き、しかも遊びにいったのではなく、
ボランティアに勤しんでいた彼らが誘拐され
傷ついて帰ってきたとたん、日本国民からも暴言の嵐。
怒りの矛先があまりにも間違っている。
なぜ、誘拐犯やこのような状況を作り出したアメリカ、
それを支援した日本でなく、被害者なんだ？
狂気の沙汰としか言いようがない。

国家に多大な迷惑をかけたというが、
小泉首相は当時テロには屈しないとして、
半ば見捨てるような状態だった。
しかも、
怒れる国民の何人が費やされた具体的金額を知っている？
人質となった三人は帰りの航空費を自己負担した。
帰りの航空券は持っていたのに
政府が用意した別のルートで帰ることを強制されたため
余分な金を払うことになった。

海外メディアもこの日本の異様な状況を非難した。
当時国連事務総長だった
Colin L. Powellも次のように述べている。
"But if nobody was willing to take a risk,
then we would never move forward.
We would never move our world forward.

And so I'm pleased that
these Japanese citizens were willing to put themselves
at risk for a greater good,
for a better purpose.
And the Japanese people should be very proud that
they have citizens like this willing to do that."
「誰もリスクを取らなかったら、進歩はありえない。
日本人は彼らを誇りにすべきだ。」
と言う感じのことが書いている。

人質となった人たちは解放後本を出版しているが、
Amazonでその評価レビューを見ようと思ったら、
ここにも酷い非難が。
本に対するレビューなのだから
感想だけで十分で、
こんなところに本人の批判をすべきでないと思う。

created the cover image of medical science magazine,CELL.
CELL is very famous American scientific journal.

Dr. Setoh who delivered a paper on this magazine
is a fan of JOJO.


児童労働に問題はあるか 

In India,
It seems that,
44 million chidren must work to live.

Usually
work that children are given is very dangerous
and working condition is not good.
It is, rather, so severe.

You might feel that children shouldn't work.
But most children can't live if they don't work.
I guess
Robbing their oppotunity to work is not the best solution.

But everyone must not rob oppotunity
to study from children.
I wonder
Children can get right of study with right of work.

チェチェンで何が起きているか 

国境なき医師団のより、
「2006年もっとも報じられなかった人道危機」に
チェチェン問題が挙げられていた。

最近、チェチェンについて調べてみたので、
メモを残しておく。

チェチェン共和国は
ロシア連邦内の自治共和国のひとつである。
独自の文化、言語をもつ70万〜100万人程度の小さな国だ。
チェチェン共和国一帯を北コーカサス地域というが、
400年にわたりロシアからの侵略と支配を受けてきた。

ソ連崩壊後も独立を求めて抵抗しているが、
プーチン政権は強硬策をとり、
戦闘は激化、何万もの人々が犠牲となっているという。
またロシア側の
チェチェン人への差別、拷問も問題となっている。

9･11のテロ以来、ロシア側はチェチェンに
タリバンと関係のあるゲリラ組織が潜伏しており、
狂信的過激派イスラムであると主張しているが、
その真偽は怪しい。

チェチェン共和国は、
中東に通じるロシアにとって大切な地域であり、
石油などの天然資源も発見されている。
ロシアのとって手放すのは惜しい地域だそうだ。

プーチン大統領は1999年、
「我々にとって危険なのは、テロリストでなくジャーナリストだ。
彼らを殲滅せよ。」と発言。
ジャーナリストの潜入を現在も徹底的に阻止し、
チェチェン入りは困難な状況であり、
中で何が起きているのか未知数な部分が多い。

一部のジャーナリストとチェチェンの人々によれば、
この戦争は、テロリストとの戦いなどではなく、
チェチェン人という少数民族抹殺が目的であるという。

これが事実であれば、
ロシア側の行為はまさにジェノサイドであり民族浄化だ。
国連の常任理事国の一つである大国が
こんなことでいいのだろうか。


グロテスクなほどの不平等さ

This news was reported by London's Guardian.

AUN study finds that 37% of the richest live in the US,
27% in Japan, and 6% in UK.

It seems that
Japan is one of the richest countries in the world.
Head of research at Britain's charity Oxfam,
Duncan Green said
" these levels of inequality are groteque....
It's impossible to justify such vast wealth
when 800 million people go to bed hungry every night"



規制されることのなかった6億5000万丁 

civilians now holding 650 million small arms

I saw this news in Asahi newspaper.
It says that
out of the 875 million firearms are circulating
around the world.
These info. were informed
by the Geneva-based Graduate Institute
of International Studies.
And It seems that
especially the US has 90 guns for every 100 citizens.

I'm surprized to hear
there're so many civilian guns aroud the world.

Now,
One out three is involved in wars.
And on 2002,
Thirty conutries concerned 37 armed conflicts.

We can understand
There're so many wars around the world,
and so many people can get guns easliy.
