水道水の飲める国

We can get a safe water easily in Japan.
However, at present,
1.1 billion people around the planet have no access to safe drinking water.
When i traveled in Thailand,
i was not able to drink tap water directly.
In some country,
Waters are polluted by chemicals or bacteria.
It's possible that scarce water could prompt wars in the future.

So i guess
we should feel fortunate that we can get a safe water easily.

世界＝国家×民族×宗教

日本人が自分たちを、
日本人として意識し始めたのはいつからだろう。

なんて、ユーゴスラビアの歴史を勉強していて思いました。

ユーゴスラビアは5つの民族から成る連邦国家で、
1992年まで存在した。

5つの民族をまとめるため、
国の指導者は様々な手段を講じた。
あるときは、それぞれの民族
例えばセルビア人やクロアチア人ではなく、
ユーゴスラビア人と名乗ることを奨励して
ユーゴスラビア人としての愛国心を築かせようと試みた。

それでも、結局ユーゴスラビア人としての意識を
国民全体にいきわたらせる事に失敗し、
民族主義が台頭した結果、崩壊に至ったと言われている。

このように、国家は国民を統合するために
いろんな手段を用いている。
ある国は、宗教を使ったりもする。
共通の歴史を取り上げて、まとめようとしたりもする。

中国では、北京で話される北京語と香港で話される広東語では、
同じ漢文字を使うけれども、両者が会話しても全く話は通じない。
違う言語というわけ。
それでも、同じ中国人としての意識を持っているわけだ。

でも、日本人は言語学的に比較的近いとされている
朝鮮半島の人々と同じ国民意識、民族意識を持つことはない。

国民意識、民族意識は歴史が作っていくのだろうけど、
これって不思議だな。
歴史が違えば・・・
朝鮮も日本も同じ国民、民族になっていた可能性も
あるんだろうか。

こんな事を考えると、愛国心ってなんだろうと思う。

自分個人の話をすると、
ナショナリズム(国家主義)が大嫌いで、
よくスポーツ選手が世界大会とかで戦っているのをみて、
ニュースキャスターが「日の丸を背負って･･･」とか言い始めると、
はぁ？？？って思う。
もちろん同じ日本住む人が、
海外でがんばっているのを見れば
応援したくなるのはわからなくはないし、
育った国土を大切に思う気持ちは大切だと思う。

ただ、それが外国の、すぐ隣の国の人々との間に
壁をつくるとすれば、それはすごく残念だ。

Recentry,
I often hear the word "Eastward expansion of NATO″

NATO summit has been held in Romania.
Surprisingly, Russian President Vladimir Putin was invited.
The US strongly supported accession of Ukraine and Georgia.

Of course,
Russia is fiercely opposed to the eastward expansion of NATO.
Russia might think that
NATO is a serious threat to Russian military.

Mr Medvedev said
"No state can be pleased
about having representatives of a military bloc to
which it does not belong coming close to its borders.″




However, What is NATO?
No Action, Talking Only ???
Haha... I'm just joking.
NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

This alliance made during the Cold War
to compete against communism.
So, of course,
the Soviet Union and Nato were enemies during the Cold War.
Soviet Union and neighboring countries organized
another military alliance, Warsaw Treaty Organization
Warsaw Treaty Organization disappeared
after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
So now, only NATO live.

I don't know more.
Why Ukraine and Georgia want to join NATO?
Anyone,please teach me〜.

諸国民の中の正義の人

There're a lot of Hero in the histry.

Oskar Schindler is well known
as German industrialist credited with saving almost 1,200 Jews
during the Holocaust.

And also,
Chiune Sugihara is famous in Japan.
He was a Japanese diplomat who helped about 6000 Jews
by giving Jews viza to enter Japan.

I guess
they are really righteous person.

Recentry,
I found Paul Grüninger in a book, Black Switerland.
he provided visa to about 3,600 Jewish refugees
from the Nazis in Austria,
permitting them to enter Switzerland.
In those days,
Switzerland government had refused entry
to Switerland against Jews,
Because they are afraid of economic disorder for influx of Jews.

It makes me glad to know being people
who preserved justice during the war.

政治の腐敗認識指数

NPO,Transparency Internatinal announce
Corruption Perception Index(CPI) in 2007.

This is the ranking about the issue of corruption
on the international policy agenda.

In 2007,The CPI ranks 180 countries
in terms of perceived levels of corruption,
as determined by expert assessments and opinion surveys.

The most corrupt country expressed "0 point".
And the most clean country expressed "10 points".

Japan was given 7.5 points,
and ranked 17th

Denmark,NZ and Finland is selected
as one of the most political clean country .
And
Somalia and Myanmar ranked the bottom among 180 nations.

Well...
I guess Japan is not so wrong.
