ムシャラフ氏　辞任へ 

These days
the results of Olympic are on the front page of newspaper all the time.
But the front of today's newspaper is not the usual...

It seems that Pakistan's President Musharraf will resign as president.
One reason is pressures to resign before being impeached by parliament.

Who will be the next president?
The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif?
But he have been charged with corruption.
And I doubt whether he can control the military.

Anyway i wish to restore security and stability to Pakistan.

Finally i introduce snippets from resignation speech of Musharaf.

I never did anything for myself. Whatever I did was for Pakistan first. That was my motto.
I am going with the satisfaction that whatever I could do for this nation, for the people, I did it with honesty and integrity. But I am also a human being. It is possible I might have committed mistakes, but I hope that this nation and the people will know that my intentions were true.
わたしは何事も自分のためにはしてこなかった。私のしたことすべては、パキスタンを第一に考えてのことだった。これが私のモットーだからだ。この国のために、国民のためにできたことに、なんであれ満足している。誠実にそして正直にそれをしてきた。しかし、私もまた人間だ。間違いを犯すことはありえる。しかし、わたしはこの国と国民にこのことを知ってほしい。私の意志は純粋なものであったことを。

イスラエル　建国から60年の道のり 

May 14th is Israel's National Foundation Day.
On this day in 1948,
The first Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion announced
the establishment of the State of Israel.

So... 60 years has passed since the founding of the nation.

You know,
arm conflicts have continued since then.

When the nation of Israel was founded,
all neighboring country consider Israel enemy country
and attacked it.
So Some people believed Israel collapsed soon.

Sometimes
I wonder the foundation of Israel is right.
Because Palestine is too small to be lived by Jews and Palestinian.
And I think it would be accurate to say that
Israel is founded
by USA and Europe which dislike rule of Middle East by Isramic Arabs.

Actually,
Israel had been founded through the help of the West.
So what we should now is how to keep peace in Middle East.

イスラエル　ガザ地区の状況 

UK-based human rights groups, including Amnesty International says
Gaza's humanitarian situation is the worst
since 1967 when Israel occupied it.

Israel attacked Gaza continuously
to try to suppress rocket fire by Hamas government.
Israel says
these military action and other measures were lawful
and needed to stop rocket attacks from Gaza.

After that,
Israel withdrew from Gaza,
Cos' Israel recognize to accomplish a purpose at Gaza.

But now,
Gaza is imposed blockade from Israel,
So a lot of Gazan are troubled with food shortages.
More than 1.1 million Gazans are dependent on food aid
and 75,000 have lost their jobs.

今日の世界 

トルコ軍によるクルド労働党(ＰＫＫ）討伐を目的とした
イラク北部への越境攻撃によって79人が死亡したと伝えられている。

ＰＫＫはクルド人の独立を求め、
1980年頃からトルコ軍にテロ攻撃を繰り返している組織だ。
以前も記事で取り上げたが、
クルド人とは、トルコ、イラン、イラクに住む
国家を持たない世界最大の民族である。
クルド人が1つの国家に収まっていれば、
ここまで問題は複雑にならないだろうものの、
三国にまたがって住むゆえ、独立するのは非常に難しいだろう。
クルド人自治区の油田の問題もある。

トルコの越境攻撃はこれが初めてではなく、
過去に何度も繰り返し行っている。
しかし、トルコ人口の2割はクルド系といわれており、
そのすべてを敵に回すことは、トルコにとっても得策ではないはずだが・・・
イラクの大統領はクルド出身のジャラル･タラバニ氏だが、
クルド人の更なる自治を認めることは、
トルコ、イランにも影響する問題であり、容易に決断はできないよう。

問題解決は簡単じゃないね。
こういう問題を聞くと、
なんとなく独立を支持したくなるけど、
それが本当にクルド人を含めた
周辺諸国の益になるかはよくわからないからな。

さて、
最後に政治ジョークをひとつ。

共産圏のある国で・・・
教官が生徒に質問した。
「資本主義とは一体何かね？」

「もはや断崖絶壁に立った体制であります！！」

教官はその答えに満足し、もうひとつ質問した。
「では、社会主義とは何かね？」

「資本主義より一歩進んだ状態であります！！」

そういえば、
夢の中にプーチンがでてきたよ。
ＪＲの電車の中で、一緒に談笑してたｗ英語で。

パキスタンの行方 

ブット元首相が暗殺されて早一週間が過ぎた。
まだ、犯人像がはっきりしない。

いろいろ社説を読みあさってみたが、
どれも似たりよったりだった。
ブット氏暗殺により誰がもっとも利益を受けるか。

一部にムシャラフ大統領の陰謀を示唆した記事もあったが、
これはないと思う。
ムシャラフ大統領は、
陸軍参謀総長を辞任したり、ブット氏の帰国を了解したりと
随分アメリカに譲歩する行動をとってきた。
いまさら、ブット氏を暗殺して
ムシャラフ大統領にどんな利益があるのか。
まぁ実際、総選挙の延期、情勢悪化と
ムシャラフ氏の不利な側に傾いている。

となると、やっぱりイスラム原理勢力かなぁって思う。
ブット氏は相当アメリカ寄りだったし、
イスラム主義勢力からはかなり批判されていたし。
そうなると、シャリフ元首相が浮かび上がってくる。
イスラム寄りだし、
最近のパキスタン情勢悪化で支持率を伸ばしている。

まぁ、結局よくわからんね。

しかし、
米国がブット氏を民主化の象徴みたく
やたらと後押ししてるけど、
彼女が首相に帰り咲いたとしても、
民主化が進むんでいたかというとそれも怪しいなって思う。
実際、ブット氏が首相だったときの汚職ぶりは酷かったらしいし。
アメリカはパキスタンの民主化に焦りすぎている気がする。

まずは、景気回復とか、教育の改善だとかで、
国民がテロ組織に流れていかないようにすべきかな。

いずれにせよ、
イスラム圏唯一の核保有国パキスタンの情勢は
今後の世界経済とか第三次世界大戦に結びつくものだから、
なんとかして安定して欲しいものです。
